What happened To The Dinosaurs?
As a Bible Believing Christian I can say for sure what happened to the dinosaurs. They drowned because they were to big to fit into Noah's Ark.
That's the same reason we never end up with a peaceful society... The most powerful spokes people for the current society stand head and shoulders above the masses. This creates a huge problem for those of us who are ark builders by nature. We try and try to get the current spokes people to pay attention to our arguments, we try to get them to listen to our reason and we try to get them to help us solve the problems that can be solved now so that we can get to where we can solve the problems that will come up tomorrow and we try to get them to adjust their world views to fit our philosophies... This just doesn't work.
The only thing that does work is the creation of a new world view that lets people be right as far as they can go with their present world view but which is at the same time entertaining, enlightening and educational as well as more profitable socially, economically and ecologically then they soon find themselves acting on the new world view even though they can not in any way express exactly what it is about the new world view that floats the boat.
The people who require war to make their worlds function lack an understanding of how peaceful systems work.
Computer, Internet and cellphone technology are an advance into a peaceful system, a peaceful system that produces specific kinds of change in somewhat the same way that the typewriter fueled the women's rights movement in the last third of the 19th century leading ultimately to "emancipation" when women finally achieved the right to vote on August 20th, 1920.
Then just as the technology has caught up with the real world there has been a huge advance in monetary understanding so now the internet portion of the work-a-day world runs on micropayments.
We now have a situation where people to people networks can distribute workload to meet the available workforce, micropayments make sure each person is paid for their proportional contribution of effort and the profits are paid directly into the bank accounts of each individual.
Then we have this other factor, meatspace dinosaurs are drowning and disappearing into "money losing nothingness". Who lead the charge? Well the advertising industry of course. The mass media companies run on advertising revenue but as the masses shift to getting their news, entertainment and education via the internet the media companies can't get it up for the advertising revenue they need in order to survive.
The media companies are dinosaurs who can't fit into the ark of progress, it's time to cut them lose. Again advertizing leads the way, as micropayment processors of all kinds are needed in order to reach the target markets that that the media companies once had solidly in their pockets.
One thing that became clear to me during the Vietnam war era was the problem of getting a mass movement together, people need food clothing and shelter in order to survive. Most people are so busy earning a living they don't have time or energy to participate in mass movements. Here is where micropayments and workload distribution come into play.. with laptops and cellphones anyone can get paid for his or her time using the internet. The Democrats think rich as do the Republicans, this leaves the politicial world isolated and controlled by people who are rich enough to volunteer or who go along to get along with the status quo and can be trusted to stick to the party line.
There are now some companies in the internet marketplace who understand how the new systems work. It's time the peace movement folks get in on the gravey train.. and stop trying to save the dinosaurs.
